Officially Bummin!!
My expected wait for Abby continues to grow longer. If the current trend continues then it is likely that I will not meet Abby until early 2007. For my friends and family that are following this blog I will try and explain this development. When I started this process the expected wait for referrals was 6 to 7 months. This wait period begins from the time your dossier is officially logged in by the CCAA in China (12-7-05 for me) and ends at referral. Referrals (when your baby is assigned to you) were coming out once a month for approximately 1 months worth of log in dates. This trend continued for quite awhile and I have herd of some lucky families that waited as little as 5 months. Fast forward to now and things have changed. It has taken 3 months for the CCAA to get through the May log in date referrals and unfortunately this last batch that started coming out yesterday evidently was cut off at May 30'th. Meaning May 31 log in date families have to wait yet another month for their childrens referral (My heart goes out to you).........SOOOOOOOOO if you do the math you will see that I have quite a bit of time to go. That said (and I know you mean well) there are 3 things I can think of that I would rather not hear right now. "Why don't you change countries?" My daughter is in China. "Why do you have to wait so long?" I really don't know and don't think anyone really knows for sure either. "Too bad your not Meg Ryan. I bet she didn't have to wait." I'm willing to bet she waited as long as everyone else did. So if I seem stressed or grouchy please understand what I am going through. Will my current state of mind last the duration of my entire wait? I don't think so. I will move on but please give me some time to adjust. This not knowing is the worst for me. I can deal with any wait for my treasure but I wish somebody could just give me an actual date that I can hold on to. That is not going to happen...... So there you have it, I will keep you updated! And as for all of my adoption buddies in "Blogville", There is safety in numbers so we are all in this together. Thanks for reading.

Okay Folks, Putting out my last request for quilt squares for Abby's 100 Good Wishes Quilt. You know who you are. If you want to I would still love to have you participate. If cutting your fabric down to a 7 by 7 square is what is holding you back that's not an issue. Just Send me a piece and I will cut it down to fit. (not a problem) Pick any type of fabric that you like. Don't let the wish be a delay for you either. You can send any wish on any type of paper as simple or as fancy as you want. I have received all kinds of wonderful wishes in all forms and Abby and I will cherish each one! Bottom line is I will love whatever you send just please send it...........

3 Bears are better then 1
I ordered these cute TY Pluffies for Abby. Little Ruby Cate has shown me and all her other dedicated followers out there in Blogland what a great first friend Bear can be. Thanks Amy for posting the link to where Bear's siblings can be found for adoption. I ordered 3. I plan to send one to Abby in her care package after I receive her referral, Bring one with me to China and Keep one at home as a spare. The way I see it a girl can never have too many bears!
