I love Abby's stocking made with love with scraps from her 100 good wishes quilt. Hung by the chimney with care.........UPDATE: I can't take the credit for this great idea. I saw the idea almost 3 years ago on somebody elses blog and knew I wanted it for Abby. When I had her quilt made I asked if they could make her a stocking as well with the scraps :)

Per you packing post, we travelled this same time and were in Beijing (30 degrees), Nanchang (50's) and finally Guangzhou (mid-70's) and so, like you, we had to factor in boots and coats as well as bathing suits and tank tops!
I wouldn't count on being able to buy tennies in your size unless you have very tiny feet... I never saw anything that would have fit my size 9!
I'll tell you, I took it all. I had a big suitcase and I brought clothes for each climate. The way I looked at is this - no matter how efficiently you pack, you still check your bag through so you may as well have what you want!
