Feeling Better

I am feeling much better. Thank you for all of the well wishes. I had strep throat. Been ions since I have had that. My throat hurt something fierce plus my left ear. I even took a shower and shaved my legs ect cuz I was sure I was going to be admitted to my hospital with epiglottitis. Hopefully Abby is in the clear. She was already on amoxicillen and no s/s yet.... I felt terrible but with Auntie L staying over then Abby and I went to Mom's Sunday and Monday. Lots of sleep and rest helped. Abby had a blast too and did not seem to miss me much while I slept a lot. She was happy to see me tho and mock fussed til I picked her up :) I made a point to put her to bed at least. She handled the changes like a trooper . Thank god for my family!! feel bad tho cuz we have been in all week. Poor thing, I wanted to go out today for a walk at least but we only had a high of 40 today and a much lower windchill. Auntie L and Erin came over for a while and Abby was happy to see them. Tomorrow it will be in the 50's and we have a playdate with Jen and Jainy at the park :0

Greetings from the sickies!!

Hi blog buddies!! Auntie Laurie here. Jenny is super sick and Abby's still got some kind of crud. Lot's of green boogies and congestion. I remember every time my kids would cut big teeth they would go through this. Don't have long before sleeping beauty wakes up so i'm going to be quick. She had a tough nite last nite then was up about 6 am. I put her back down about 8:30. God I love her!!! We had so much fun last nite! (btw-no idea why i'm in itallics now, but don't have time to figure it out). This video is so cute! Listen closely as she feeds the baby and you hear her making sucking noises...awwww! She is so smart and a mover and a shaker...

Help!

I am looking for any and all opinions and advice. Especially from those of you who have BTDT. I officially have to return to work on April 1st. (I may end up going back sooner per lack of $$$) It's time to think about separating from Abby. ........... Up til now we have been together pretty much 24/7. My Mom will keep her at first while we slowly ease her into daycare. She loves my Mom and will be okay. I think I should start leaving her with her for short practice periods....Or is it too soon? April 1st will be here before I know it and I will be working 12 hr days (UGG!!) How long should I leave her the first time????? I know we need to separate but I can't imagine it yet. That said tho, and I will admit that at times I do feel like 2 minutes to my self would be nice. I won't sugar coat it. Being a single Mom is SOOOO hard. It's you, 24/7. No breaks and no body to relieve you. I'm not complaining but it is hard sometimes..... (Please don't flame me for that statement) I love her so much already! She is an incredible little person. So strong and resilient. She has been through so much and I don't want to create anymore stress for her. I truly miss her when she is asleep. If she didn't spend half the night kicking me she would still be in my bed :)Tho she is really sleeping well lately in her own room. No wake ups and does not get up til 7 or 8 am. So...... ADVICE and Suggestions please! Help me make this transition the easiest it can be on my baby. I leave you with these sweet pictures:)

It's Been a While

Sorry for the lack of blogging. My computer is having issues. It only runs for 15 min or so at a time then shuts off. The bottom feels really hot too but I hear the fan running (laptop). I have also been having trouble downloading my pictures. Looks like a new computer and camera might possibly be in my future. Hoping not cause this has been an ezpensive month already!

Abby and I are doing well.She is VERY busy! So Mama is very busy! She lately is only waking up 1 or 2 times a night. She has been sick with a cold so we started her on amoxicillen (sp?). We have had several fun play dates so I will post pictures soon :)

We had a very busy weekend. Saturday was the baby shower for my brothers fiance Annetta. They are having a boy next month. This was Abby's first party and she looked so cute all dressed up in one of the Christmas dresses I had bought for her. She also got to meet Aunt Kelli and cousin Virginia :)

Did you know that those Gerber Graduates little meat sticks bl0w up in the microwave when you try and heat them up? Just like regular hotdogs do if you don't poke holes in them first.........

Uncle Pete, Annetta, and Sam came over the other day to see Abby. Abby loves them all but Uncle Pete especially! They played hard and Abby had such a good time that she crashed in her high chair while eating lunch. Just after you all left :) Come see me again UnclePete I like playing with you and My soon to be Cousin is going to have a great Daddy :)

Again I have to say, where does the time go? A very belated Chinese Lunar New Year to each and everyone :) I tried to do a little informal photo shoot of Abby in honor of the New Year. Wow is it tough to photograph kids! You need a really fast camera (Obviously mine is too slow) and a lot of patience :) And what's up with those little buttons on the traditional outfits???? A squirmy toddler will only let you try and get the LITTLE TINY hook over the LITTLE TINY button but so many times. That's why Abby's top button is not closed. She won that battle.
