Well my first day back at work wasn't to bad. Actually it felt like I had never left. Miss A had a wonderful day. Meema is keeping her until we get a spot with daycare. She loves Meema so had no problems being there. We actually spent the night prior to work at Meema's. I get up around 5:30 am to get ready for work and leave at 6:30 am to get there. Abby generally sleeps til 8 or 8:30 am. I would have had to wake her, throw her in the car and take her to Meema's. I decided it would be better to let her sleep her normal schedule so we spend the night. I was worried about her waking and not knowing where I was, but she did fine (sniff). I had also recorded a message for her telling her that I loved her and would be back soon on her toy call phone. Meema played that for her :)
Wow, sorry I'm writing a book here. She was up 3 times that night pre work (ugg) the last time I got up and made her a bottle and brought her in bed with me. We had to go in the kitchen to get the bottle and she saw Meema's dogs and got all happy saying, "Woo Woo". I thought we were done but she did settle and go back too sleep around 3:30 am. I was tired today.....
Work was good tho, it was fun to brag and show pictures, and to just gush about her :) Meema had to come up to the hospital and get some blood work done so I told her to bring Abby up to the Unit. When she saw me she clamored (sp?) to get out of the stroller to me). She was in her usual cute form and showed off all of her tricks for everyone. I also noticed that Abby was sporting her emergency outfit and not the one I had left out for her to wear. Meema informed me that Abby was kind enough to have her very first blow out ever just for Meema! (Sorry Mom) When it was time to leave she blew me a kiss and let Meema push her out. The rest of my day was fine. I was worried about getting out on time (you never know in the ICU) but I left at 7:30 pm 0n the button. That was also with getting a late admission. When I got home she came right too me and would not let me put her down. She fell a sleep on the way home and I popped her in bed. She was only up one time last night and I only had to reposition her and she went right back down. She woke up chipper. What a relief!!! I love that she loves her Meema and was totally comfortable over there ;)
Now as my book continues..... I would like to introduce you all to Joshua Preston. Abby's newest cousin and my brothers first son! Joshua said hello to the world at 615 am yesterday morning. He weighs in at 8 pounds, 13 ounces (my brother was a 9 pound er) and is 21 inches long. He looks adorable and Abby was definitely smitten :) Meema and Abby went over yesterday morning to meet him while I worked. So here he is! My newest nephew :)
Looking for my cousin :)

Meema is a true blessing! Glad the day went well. I was laughing about the "blowout." NEVER leave the house without a spare set of clothes...you never know when you'll need them!

Oh, so so sweet! Such beautiful babies. I found you through another blog and thought i'd say hi. Its funny how families all over the US are doing so many of the same things. I have almost the same photos of just different characters in a post from last summer when my brother had a baby, well, his wife..haha
God Bless your beautiful family!!
So happy everything worked out.
It's always a good feeling when you know that your dgt. is being loved when your at work.
