Without a doubt

It usually starts with "Have you herd anything?" Followed by me saying, "Nothing good." Then I tell them about how the wait time has continued to grow with no explanations given to us, ect, ect...... After their sympathies, disbelief, ect have been offered out it comes. "Why don't you change over to another country?" I then go on to say,"NEVER!" I know they mean well and have my best interests at heart, but changing countries is simply not an option for me. I have known for a long time that my daughter will come from China and I will wait for her as long as I have to. I will not give up on her..............

Honey, God is directing all of this and when our Abby is ready it will all come to be. It is a big test to go thru, but look what we will have - an absolutely perfect baby who will be taking her place to move into a wonderful family. Hang in there - I sure am. Love you and hurt with you too, mom

No one will ever give up on Abby... those who "mean well" need to stop offering advice and let you continue your journey (no matter how long it takes) to your Abby. We are all here for you and always will be.

The comment from your mom just made me cry. I've had a rough week with the wait. I called my mom crying yesterday. I was feeling like I couldn't keep waiting forever. I'm feeling much better today. How could I think about changing countries...you're right...my baby is in China too! Hoping things will pick up soon,

Tiffany

There are those that mean well and say all the wrong things, and there are those who don't bother to give support at all and then there are those that just don't get it. I suppose I have been guilty of all of the above some time in my life. Bottom line, Abby IS from China and I so look forward to her homecoming in the USA! Just as my daughter IS in Russia, you can pass on the word that all countries have delays.

I loved it when my pregnant friends would say "you are doing it the right way. EASY!" HA! What a joke. I've been pregies twice and have one adopted daughter from China. Our adoption was much more of a challenge. People have no clue how painful the wait can be. It hurts your heart! :(
