3 Words

I missed last weeks 3 words Sunday but am back on track today.

Yep, tomorrow is the day. I don't know where the time went. 3 months passed just like that! I can't believe the changes in my little girl. I am so glad that I was able to have this time with her. It has totally been worth it despite the increased debt that I acquired by working the last month with no income coming in. I considered going back a month earlier but I was unable to leave my girl. And as it was pointed out to me, I will never have this time with her again or this length of time off from work again. I feel very bonded with her. She knows that I am her Mommy. I'm no expert in attachment and I'm sure that we have further to go but I believe we have at least built a strong foundation to build on. This week she has started giving me spontaneous hugs and patting me on the back. The kisses have been coming for a while :) She is very opinionated and I love that she feels comfortable enough to fight for what she wants. (Although she doesn't always win). She has come so far in these short almost 3 months. She knows multiple words and signs and is very good at getting her point across. It has been so much fun to experience her many firsts with her and I look foreword to experiencing many more. My life is so much better because of her and she has made my entire family better as well. How can one little being touch so many? She does it well. It just takes my breath away, the love that I feel for her. I thank God and China for her every day. To me there is absolutely no doubt that God has a plan for everyone :)

Just look at this tiny little scared person on the first day that I met her......

And now at the little giggle poo that she has become :)

Wow! That really was a fast 3 months! Good luck at work tomorrow. Does Abby start daycare or will someone in your family watch her?

Tomorrow will be hard. Don't you just wish we could be SAHM's. But who'd pay the mortgage then, right?

Stay strong. You and Abby will both be fine after some getting used to. I'll be thinking of you.

I feel your pain. Tomorrow will be my first day back at work also - part time for a couple of weeks and then full on back to the grindstone by mid April.

I can't believe the time went so fast. How come it never moved this quickly while we were waiting?

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. I know I'm not looking forward to it.

Oh my gosh, I love the "now" pics!!! I know I don't comment much, but I'm here and I visit :) Just wanted to say good luck going back to work, I COMPLETELY don't envy you... I can imagine how hard it is (I personally dread that point myself... if I ever get there...lol).

That first day/week back at work is rough, but you'll both adjust soon. Good luck tomorrow!

The time does fly.
Abby looks like a happy and well adjusted baby.
Good luck at work tomorrow. Hope the day goes by quickly for you. Bring lots of pics because you know everyone will be wanting to hear and see all about your journey.

it will be all good! just remember that you work FOR abby. everything you do is FOR abby. this is no different. it will suck, but you will both get used to it and it will be great for abby to meet even more little kiddies, etc... with that personality, i know it will be a lot tougher on you than on her=) damn, she is so beautiul=)

I really enjoyed watching Abby grow over the past 3 months. Good luck on your first day back to work. The first person to ask me how I was got their shoulder cried on.
May your day be busy and just fly by.

Oh man, I hate that you have to go back to work!! SO weird I was JUST thinking of you guys today (thinking about how easy you make this single momhood thing LOOK)! I wish we lived closer sometimes... we could work opposite days and keep each other's kids, saving us tons of money, right?!

She is just adorable, I love her smile- and how incredible that it's her MOMMY putting it on her face! That will get you through tomorrow, knowing your coming home to her!
