All Done!

Abby's dresser is all done :) I think it turned out pretty well. I can't wait to start putting her clothes away in it. I'm also thinking that I might be able to put a changing pad on part of it? What do you guys think???? The dresser is actually wider then it looks in the picture and it would fit one.

Once I get her dresser filled then I will tackle her closet. It's not to pretty right now. Thanks also for the suggestions to separate her clothes by size. I'm embarrassed to say that I have done that. The clothes in her closet are size 9 months to 12 - 18 months. I know, I am out of control :) A lot of the clothes are hand me downs though. I am never one to turn those down. I love baby clothes! Plus I have been buying cute baby stuff for others for years and it's now finally my turn :)

I will say though for you guys that are much earlier in the process, if you can control your self try and space buying your baby clothes out. The reason I say that now is because I am still seeing Lot's of cute stuff I want out there. Now I am having a hard time though cause I know she will never be able to wear everything so I can't justify buying anything else. (Unless of course it's really cute!)

The dresser turned out beautiful. I think a changing pad is a great idea. I'm doing the exact same thing with an old antique dresser of mine.

Here's a trick to get away with still buying the cute clothes. Buy bigger sizes. Mia has sizes ranging from 9 mths to 4T. I swear I'm not kidding. I wish I were...

WOWSER. That is ONE stuffed closet full of CUTE. The dresser looks fabulous.

I can't control my sister buying stuff, I feel like I already have too much (some is the stuff I had for Gracen)- I decided what she doesn't use I'm passing on to her orphanage in China... :O)

The dresser is adorable! It turned out so nice. I think a changing pad would be perfect. That is what I plan to do with the dresser in our nursery. I don't want to buy a changing table because I am not sure how much I will really use it. I thought a pad would be more practical.

I have tried not to buy too many clothes, yet. I have bought some, but I am just afraid that it will be out of style by the time Tori finally comes home. Do baby clothes go out of style? :)

Enjoy your Sunday.

Love the dresser! I think definitely get that changing pad for the top of it. This is what I have planned for Tate's room.

I totally understand the buying baby clothes thing. I liken the shopping to feeling connected to our gals!

Great minds think alike!!! LOL. My closet is stuffed full too! It's definately a great tip for those behind us to ....PACE YOURSELF. But little girls clothes are just TOO CUTE! By the way, your dresser came out awesome and I say yes to the changing pad. I'm doing the same thing...no sense in buying a changing table!

Great job on the dresser! Love the knobs you chose. Guess I'll need to look for those next time I'm down in the good 'ole USA. Wish we would get Target here too.

Have fun with the closet. It's so hard not to buy, buy...buy!

Beautiful dresser, I sure would throw a changing pad on top. You won't really be able to buckle her on, but keep your supplies right there, and she'll probably be too big to buckle, anyway.

The closet is so stuffed! Love all the clothes. I bought and bought and accepted all hand-me-downs too. (then I weeded through them to pick my faves)

My Sophia is 2 1/2, and I'm always picking up cute things on sale and bigger. She WILL grow into them! In face, this year July 4th, she'll wear the flag dress I bought on clearance after the 4th last year!

You're one prepared lady!

The dresser is beautiful! And I totally get where your at in the clothes department. I have to stop buying stuff because who knows when our child will come. Maybe I should start buying for a three year old? Or maybe more toys??

I'm already feeling that I might have a little shopping problem on my hands (and thanks for the comment to "keep on keepin' on" with the purchases! lol!). The dresser looks gorgeous, and yes - throw a changing pad on top! That's what I'm planning too! Takes care of two things at once!

And BTW - if you DID want to have a buckle for the changing pad, you could buy the buckle and straps, open the top drawer on one side, and staple gun the strap to the underside of the top of the dresser - then staple the other one to the back. When not in use, tuck the back one under the mat, and the other inside the top drawer :)

The dresser is beautiful and the changing pad idea is a good one. That is what I did, then I just purchased a cute baby care cart from Target to hold all the "changing table" stuff plus.

The dresser is totally gorgeous.
IMHO you can fit a change pad on there and then at the end put a cute basket filled with diapers and wipes..cute!
