Catching up with bullets

As promised a catch up picture post. Sorry it's not that exciting. Let's start with this one, I'll call it Miss Innocent. I think she was trying to climb the windowsill. Luckily it's low to the ground.

" Honest Mom, I was just sitting here."

Memorial Day 2008, Reading books with Christopher in what Meema calls the "Abby Suite". (Just noticed that I spelled suite wrong in my last post. My spelling stinks)

Like Father, Like son. Uncle Pete and Joshua.

Bubble mania. This little contraption rocks. It's call Zillions of Bubbles and it really works. Abby loves it too.

Dancing with Sissy through the bubbles.

Bubble DJ.

Another Oldie but a goodie. Abby and her ladybug beads. I got these way back when I first started the adoption process while I was in New Orleans.

At Meemas. Time to use the straps!!! She can't do this in our high chair at home. (Thank Gaud!)

Swinging at Meema's.

Just being Abby :)

My happy little sweetie pie!

Abby and I stayed at Auntie Laurie's for a few days so that Auntie L could babysit while Mommy worked. (Meema and Da were out of town) Abby had a blast playing with her cousins and especially Pete.

Pete was great with Abby and she learned a new phrase. "Get down Pete!!!"

Oh No! Busted again.

Fun with Christopher.

I love her nightie :)

Peek A Boo :)

Playing with Killy's tail.

My Pretty girl!

At Meema's, Have chair will travel.

Snack time.

Checking out Meema's hydrangeas.

I finally heard from HR today. I accepted the job. I start July 6th. I will be making a dollar more an hour too. Hey every bit helps.
*****
My little condo is draining me. My AC is only half way working and I'm still waiting for an estimate as to how much it will cost to replace a part. Now yesterday no hot water. My water heater seems to have turned it self off???? Hopefully that will be an easy and cheap fix.
*****
Good lord I am ready for fall. This HOT HOT weather stinks! It's too hot for babies.
*****
Still no word on day care.......
*****
I have a constant echo in my condo. What ever I say to Abby she usually repeats the last word I said.
*****
She still hasn't tried to climb out of the crib but I'm waiting for it.
*****
Man! We sure Miss Jen and Jainy!!!!

I am debating cutting Abby's hair. Bangs or not? I can't decide. The bangs she has now are in her eyes. The back is several different lengths and also frizzy. I think the frowziness comes from the way she rolls around in her sleep. I almost took her yesterday but I chickened out.
*****
Where does the time go anyway?????

My opinion cut her hair. You have much more important memories to make with her now. There will come a time to play beauty salon and long hair. These years go quickly and you dont want tons of memories of trying to get knots out. Plus take advantage of your ability to make her hair style decision as is short lived too.
Keep the post and pictures, it lights up our day.

Congrats on the new job! That's great news. You'll love those hours. I work 8-4pm after coming from a 10 hr day schedule. You'll be amazed at how much more time you seem to have in the evenings.

PS. I always love the Abby pics. She's such a cutie. :)

Her hair is perfect, I say NO BANGS! They are a pain to grow out if you change your mind- trim but I'd say let it go, I think her hair looks good...

She is SO cute, I can't believe how much she's grown up!

I say bangs - it was a hard decision - but the best - as daycare would never keep clips in her hair - and I don't like bows for day to day wear (not that they would keep those in for her either-she would-but playing - they slip out) Anyway, I have always been the one to cut Kimberly's hair - I started her by sitting her on the counter in her bathroom - staring at herself in the mirror - I told her to make faces - and started out with small cuts - I have yet to take her to a salon - (but mind you I also cut my hair alot too) It is very easy - and simple to maintain - I hear people say give them a lollipop and sit them in front of the mirror and they will sit still - I don't go for the suger bribe so much - but then K always sat still - I just told her - sit still so mama can trim you hair - and she would watch and chill out...saves a ton of $ too.
Good Luck!

Congratulations on the job!!! A set routine will be better for everyone. Sorry about the house maintenance snafu.

My vote - since you asked - no bangs. Abby has a beautiful face and should not have any part of it covered. I compared the pictures of her on the windowsill with her hair off to the side and the pics with her in her highchair with her hair down and I like her forehead showing. It compliments her face.

She may need a trim to get things "evened up'd" but I had fun braiding Ali's hair, long pony tails, etc.

My goodness she has grown!

Love,
Aunt Debbie

Take it from a hairstylist you will regret cutting her bangs, she will be sweating to peices if that little forhead is covered in hair. It's much cooler off her little face.
Love the pics. She sure is a going concern isn't she lol
IShe looks like she is having a ball with the bubbles of wonder!
As for too much heat, dang send it this way, it's been cool for this time of year in these parts.

What great photos! I love the one of her standing on the high chair!

I would cut her hair...it's hot, it's summer and you want it easy to take care of. JMO! She'll be adorable whatever you do...

I love the pictures!

I say no bangs too. Natalie's hair is very similar and it only took a couple of weeks of fixing her hair for it not to be a novelty anymore and for her to leave it alone. My favorite "do" is a simple little clip that pulls back her bangs :)

Love the pictures! She is sooooo beautiful! What a sweet smile. It must be hotter up your way. Low 80's down at the beach. Where did you get that cute rug in her room? Congrats on the new job. Can't wait to hear how you begin to love it and the opportunities it gives for you and A.

My goodness!!!

I'm re-living Annalisa's 1st year home through your Abby.

Abby seems to be just as active, curious and strong willed as Annalisa. We used to call her our little our little "Evil Kanivel", she never stopped and never was afraid of anything.

Must be something in the Yihuang water :)

We did just a little bit of bangs for our first haircut a couple months ago and I already regret it. The cut looked super cute, but those bangs are now in the way again!

Love all the pictures!
